Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Freedom

Ps 18:2 The Lord is my Rock, my Fortress, and my Deliverer; my God, my keen and firm Strength in Whom I will trust and take refuge, my Shield, and the Horn of my salvation, my High Tower.
The Lord is my Rock. When life is like sinking sand then we can find that Rock upon which we can stand. Life can seem so overwhelming at times it feels like your faith and your hope are sinking in the surrounding sands of anxious despair. Jesus said:
Mt 7:24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 “and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
If our heart is right towards God, then His words should be music to our ears, and comfort to our souls. One Word from Him will delight our hearts and bring resolve to the determination of our will. As we are determined to obey it does not matter what Hell and it’s forces may assail, we shall prevail for we are like a house that is founded on the Rock.
As we stand against every assault the enemy may bring there remains yet another comfort for us weary warriors. We can rest our feet inside the tower of His fortress, impenetrably surrounded by ramparts built with the Rock of Ages. No foe can enter its solid gates, no ladder is tall enough to reach it’s lofty spires, and no weapon is strong enough to breach it’s fortified walls. There we can enter that place of rest promised to the heavy soul:
Mt 11:28 “Come to Me, all [you] who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.29 “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 “For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Yet in Him there still remains another benefit that He supplies us the ultimate refuge. Though surrounded by the adversary our fortress will remain secure, for our God shall deliver us from every enemy, and vanquish every foe. Victory, Sweet victory, He will Secure!!!
1Co 15:57 But thanks [be] to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
With the fragrance of victory defused about us, the antagonist of our souls shall flounder in defeat.
2Co 2:14 Now thanks [be] to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.
This revelation once realized will bolster and strengthen us for every battle that may confront us everyday. The knowledge of His enduring love and the security of living in His realm will lift the heaviest head.
Have a Great Day!!!
