Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Freedom

Today, that should be the focus of our lives. We need to live in today, not yesterday, and not to worry about tomorrow.
Mt 6:34 “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day [is] its own trouble.
We spend so much time worrying about what might happen tomorrow that we can’t focus our attention on what needs to be done today. The Message translation of v. 34 says it this way:
34″Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.
I like that “ Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now. The beautiful thing about that is you will be hearing and seeing what God wants you to accomplish today. You see we all need to get our instructions from God, so we can fulfill the things He has planned for us this day.
Eph 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
God has a plan for your life, which he prepared long ago, that you should accomplish. It shouldn’t be a mystery for you to find out what God has planned for you. He will tell you and probably has already given you a pretty good idea. You will find a lot of what God has for you in His Word.
John 5:19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.
The plan for Jesus’ life was pretty much outlined for Him in prophecies that foretold of His coming. He fulfilled everything that His Father had shown the prophets. It was in the Scriptures that Jesus found His identity and His purpose.
Lu 4:43 but He said to them, “I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, because for this purpose I have been sent.”
John 12:27 “Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour.
You can find your purpose outlined in the same Scriptures that Jesus Himself found. You see you are all called to influence those He has placed around you for good. You are to shine the light of the gospel in your life so that others may see and know the truth.
Finding out that you have been called to express the love of God to others, like Jesus, will help you catapult your purpose onto the stage of life today.
You need to determine in your mind that you are going to express His love to someone today. You might ask, How can I do that? When I was growing up, the Boy Scouts were known for doing good deeds by randomly helping people; an elderly person cross the street, open a door for someone else, carry something for someone…etc.
Look for opportunities today, where you can do a Random Act of Service to someone in the name of the Lord. Let Jesus Shine Today!!!
